Thanks to Just Hockey for letting me test the CCM EFlex 6 Total Custom Pro pads.
Here, I put them up against my Boni puck machine at about 65 mph to see how the thigh rises hold up to shots.
As you can see, the results aren’t very good.
Usually, softer pads fair worse in these results, so the stock configuration on the CCM Eflex 6 pads already puts them at a disadvantage. But the poor thigh rise seal to the ice (in this case synthetic ice) made things worse, especially in the RVH test.
The core of these pads is pretty solid across the face, and I would be very interested to test a pair of these that have better seal and a stiffer knee break.
