CCM Jetspeed FT6 Pro hockey stick is the best overall stick I’ve used

Huge thanks to CCM for sending me the Jetspeed FT6 Pro to use and make a review. If this review or video was helpful to you, please reach out to CCM Hockey and let them know!

CCM advertises this stick as a hybrid kick point, which generally means the stick flexes in multiple places along the shaft depending where you position your hands for loading. In practice this makes hybrid kick point sticks the best “all arounder” sticks that are solid for every type of shot.

Coming in at around 376 grams uncut, it has a solid weight but it isn’t close to the lightest on the market. But like I always say about weights… balance is more important than a small number and this stick has a solid overall feel without being too blade or shaft heavy.

The most surprising thing about the CCM Jetspeed FT6 Pro hockey stick was how accurate my shots were. Usually I don’t like to talk about accuracy since I believe you can dial in a stick and get used to it (which will make it more accurate). But immediately upon using this stick I was hitting the spots I was exactly aiming at, there was no learning curve and I am simply never used a stick I felt more comfortable with.

Shooting for this stick was also very very good, it takes little effort to get off quick releases while not becoming a noodle when you really load into shots.

My only concerns for this stick is the durability… while I have had 0 issues personally with the stick, I have reached out to retailers and have learned that there seems to be a higher than normal warranty rate on Jetspeed sticks starting at the FT5 Pro Whiteout and continuing with this line. It is also leads to my consistent criticisms with CCM in launching sticks seemingly every couple of months, if they had a 2 year life cycle for their lines they would be able to make adjustments to the next models instead of seeing changes 2 years down the line.
