There is a LOT of info online regarding pad sizing and I have seen a tonne of comments specifically in regards to the newer Warrior G6 and G7 models compared to the G5, G4, and older models.
People are making sizing suggestions based on their pad history and often suggesting to change their sizing from the older lines on the newer ones. But Warrior’s sizing chart has stayed consistent throughout the years and from my experience Warrior pads sizing has stayed consistent.
My video below will go into details on how new strapping can make the pads feel like they fit taller and further off the skate, but the pad itself is the same size and the boot design has stayed consistent in terms of “boot risers.”

Just like the strapping in the Bauer Supreme Mach pads, which pulled the pad closer and up your leg, the new inner upper calf straps on the Warrior G6 and G7 pads can make the pad feel like it plays “bigger” than it really is. But adjust the strapping and the pad still fits the same size as always.
If you have always used a “Professor” strap, than the new G6 and G7 strapping should mimic that feel and you most likely wouldn’t have to make any adjustments and should be good to go!
