CCM Jetspeed FT7 Pro hockey stick review

Huge thanks to CCM for sending me the Jetspeed FT7 Pro hockey stick to use and make a review. If this review or video was helpful to you, please reach out to CCM Hockey and let them know!

CCM has been advertising their new Helicoid Industries carbon construction in the blade stating that their new design gives enhanced puck & passing feel through a x-soft blade while still maintaining the shooting feel and characteristics of the Jetspeed line in terms of shot feel and performance. I am usually someone who calls out gimmicks but I also say a feature isn’t a gimmick if it works… in this case I am blown away at what I call the “magic” blade. Puck feel while passing and stick handling is noticeably more dampened compared to the other recent Jetspeed sticks, but the blade still feels stiff and pingy when shooting. Giving you basically the best of both worlds.

Weight and balance is fine, with my stick coming in at 375 grams uncut. It isn’t the lightest stick on the market but it also doesn’t feel like you are only holding onto a shaft, so stick handling and playing with the FT7 Pro is well balanced. Personally I prefer the balance of the FT6 Pro, which was more blade heavy as I find it easer to control when reaching for pucks with one hand.

While I also hate to promote my other things, it has become evident to me it is important to get a viewer base that will help me continue doing reviews like this (I can’t afford to always buy new equipment!).
