CCM has impressed me recently with their protective line in the hockey world. Using technology like Carbon’s NestTech they have created the most comfortable helmet (SuperTacks X Total Custom) I have ever worn with the 3D Printed lattice system.

I was impressed by their previous line of Tacks gloves by their use of a shot blocker plate and NestTech, with an airflow focus to help cool off your hands. When I saw the NestTech on their new XF Pro gloves I knew I had to take a look and try them out myself… so I ended up buying a pair so I could do the review and see if the NestTech was a gimmick or if it actually works. When I did a Snap Shot review of the previous model, the Tacks AS-V Pro gloves, I suggested moving the NestTech to the side of the glove instead of on the backhand to allow airflow to go directly into the glove while a player is skating, and I was happy to see the AER-TEC on CCM’s FT6 Pro gloves and that change came over to the new XF Pro gloves as well!

While the CCM Tacks XF-Pro aren’t the best gloves I have used and aren’t quite up to the level of pro stock gloves, they are a solid option and I love how they are innovating in the protective market when most companies seem to be going backwards and creating cheaper made equipment while pricing them higher.
