As per a previous post and video, I went knee guard shopping because I noticed newer versions of the Bauer 1X were no longer landing properly and protecting like they should. I decided to head back to Warrior, whose G2 knee guards I reviewed in the past and were solid for comfort but could benefit from more protection.

I knew Warrior made upgrades on the Ritual X# line (affiliate link) and decided to buy the X4 Pro knee guards to take a look and see if they could replace my benchmark knee guards in the Bauer 1X.

The knee landing area and design on Warrior protective knee pads has always been a solid design, offering a plush landing zone that would hold up to back to back games in the harshest knee blocks, including the Vaughn ones that I’ve made note of in my past reviews that would leave my knees bruised while wearing the 1X model.

Overall the protection on the Warrior X4 Pro (affiliate link) knee guards is solid, and while being a relatively non-bulky knee pad and coming in at a solid priced point these are easily the best all around knee guard I have worn and tested.

I am debating on buying the Warrior X5 Pro+ (if that is the name of the new model) knee guard when it comes out to compare their bulkier and theoretically more protective option compared to these.
