Warrior has released a fantastic accessory that comes with their pads since the G6 line, the plastic slide plate that goes over the knee block to increase the sliding of the pad. Having this plate on makes the Warrior pads the best sliding pad I have worn with only Vaughn Quickslide coming close but Warrior beating the Vaughn’s out in poor ice conditions.
Attaching the slide plates is pretty easy, and in this video I’ll walk you through how to remove and add the slide plates to your Warrior pads. You can also add them to older Warrior pads (like the G5) relatively easily but I wouldn’t recommend it since it negatively impacts the seal on the ice and thigh rise by doing so.
If you have any questions on this please reach out to me and I’ll help as much as I can!
If this video and article helped you with your Warrior pads, it would be greatly appreciated if you helped support this channel by buying hockey equipment through these links (I get a kick back in sales) if you are in the US at Pure Hockey or if you are in Canada through Hockey Supremacy
While I also hate to promote my other things, it has become evident to me it is important to get a viewer base that will help me continue doing reviews like this (I can’t afford to always buy new equipment!).
